This cross is 3 inches. This piece was made at the Benedictine Abbey of Marie Laach, founded in 1093 in Germany. Through the centuries the ongoing concern of the monks was to beautify and enhance liturgy. They also have been leaders in the renewal and expression of symbols which most authentically reflect our sacred scriptures.
